1. planning for teaching and preparing lessons or materials
i observed my coordinator teacher Sir Villar while teaching science in physics. of course all materials are ready before he teaches like a DLL, and all teaching materials that will be used during the teaching and learning process. at that time sir villar planned to use power point as materials with the help of the projector. but when he used the projector, it turned out that the HDMI port had an error so Sir Villar had to choose another method when teaching using a white board and markers. the things that happened when he taught made me know beter that we sometimes have to prepare another plan when the plan that we have prepared carefully cannot be carried out when we teach students.
2. teaching in class
sir villar always reminds me that when teaching we must think about how we teach our students, students must take part in learning and sir villar teach students with a whole new approach to teaching. WBT invites students to contribute kinesthetic, audio and visual intelligence while teaching, so that all brain functions of students will actively work well. while teaching, sir villar also invites students to actively solve problems that exist in their daily lives.
being a teacher is a long and enjoyable process. being a teacher must also be smart and fun. sir villar own that, he has a role as father and teacher in the classroom, as a father he must ensure that his children must participate in the learning process well, and as a teacher he must ensure that his childrens understand the things that have been taught. I observed him, there were many things that I should prepare when I become a teacher
3. curriculum
the curriculum used in Abaño school is k-12. almost similar to Indonesia k-13, but there are differences in junior high school. philippines 4 years for jhs and 2 years for shs while in indonesia 3 years jhs and 3 years shs
